on refugees, fear, and politics
Marilyn Gardner is an adult third-culture kid who was raised in Pakistan. She is a public health nurse and is married to Cliff. She birthed 5 kids on 3 continents and then she and Cliff raised them in Pakistan and Egypt. Living now in Cambridge, Mass., she makes trips to Pakistan and the Middle East as often as possible.
To say that Marilyn is thoughtful and a good communicator is an understatement. She has recently made several trips to Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan to work with refugees. She writes regularly on her blog, communicatingacrossboundariesblog.com. Her first book is a worthy read and I commend it to you. It is titled, Between Worlds.
Marilyn lays some pithy quotes on us during the podcast, so you might want to grab a pen and paper as you listen this week. Also, just a reminder to please tell a friend about the podcast. I’m not spending anything on marketing. And so if you Share the link when the podcast is released on Mondays, that would be wonderful.

Happy listening!
